GOD DETHRONED to play 70.000 Tons of Metal Cruise !

Dutch Death Metallers GOD DETHRONED have been confirmed for the 70.000 Tons of Metal Cruise
taking place January 23 – 27, starting in Miami, Florida.




Comments the band: “We are proud to announce that we have been added to the bill of the 70.000 Tons of Metal cruise 2012.
This event now has become a part of our farewell shows and we are pleased that we got this chance to play one last time
for our US fans.”

Read the statement of GOD DETHRONED mainman Henri Sattler:
"For a Nihilist, nothing is at least something. 2011 is GOD DETHRONED‘s final year in existence.
We could have spent another year in a tourbus because the amount of offers was endless, but I just don't feel like touring anymore.
People told me to take a break for a year or maybe two, but as I'm an "all, or nothing at all" type of person, I decided to call it quits.
Not immediately, but in December of this year we will definitely play our last show.
I'm very proud of what we achieved with the band, but the time has come for new challenges.
I would like to thank all of our fans for their support for all these years."

Under the Sign of the Iron Cross, the bands 9th album, was recorded at the Soundlodge Studios in Leer, Germany.

Comments singer/guitarist Henri Sattler: "Musically the new album turned out to be one of the most extreme records we ever did. Nevertheless with the very recognizable God Dethroned hooks present in all the songs. Producer Joerg Uken outdid himself this time, because our new album is in my opinion the best produced album we ever had. Extremely raw, heavy, but crystal clear and super dynamic at the same time."
